Grace Episcopal Church at The Plains was the setting at 4:30 Saturday, Aug. 30, for the wedding of Sarah Harwood Arundel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur W. Arundel of The Plains, to Donald Charles DeWees Jr. of Wilmington, Del.

Mr. DeWees is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald C. DeWees of Wilmington.

The Rev. Carlton Bakkum officiated at the ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of off-white silk with a bouffant skirt ending in a chapel train. She wore a family veil of Alencon Brussels lace. Her seed pearl clustered necklace was also an old family piece. She carried a bouquet of country flowers.
