Crafts Fair
set Saturday
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring an Antique and Crafts Fair at the fire company on Rt. 211 this Saturday, from 9 a.m. until4p.im
Paul Poling, chief of Company 3 and one of the organizers of the fair, said exhibitors from both the local area and from out of state will be displaying and selling a wide variety of merchandise.
Items for sale will include: antiques; quilts, pillows and other needlework; aprons, potholders, towels and other kitchen items; stuffed animals and dolls; embossed business cards and napkins; Christmas tree ornaments; carved wooden animals; soft sculpture animals; pine cone, grapevine and straw wreaths; potpourri; stained glass; leatherwork; and decorated eggery.
There will also be lots of food for sale, both to eat in and take out, Mr. Poling said. The fire department will be selling hot dogs, hamburgers and other items. There will also be baked goods, bread, and homemade candy for sale.
The fair will be held inside the firehouse, rain or shine.
