William B. Dennis
Rev. William Benton Dennis, 98, of King George, formerly of Rappahannock County, died Tuesday, October 7 at the Carriage Hill Nursing Home, Fredericksburg. Mr. Dennis was a native of Rappahannock County and a retired minister. He was a member of A.A.R.P., American Legion, V.F.W. and director of Culpeper Municipal Band for many years.
He is survived by five daughters, Gloria O’Steen of Magnolia, Delaware, Ruth Beddingfield and Coleen Lewis, both of Alexandria, Clarice Henderson of King George and Joye Payne of Madison; four sons, William B. Dennis of Orlando, FI., Thomas J. Dennis of Alexandria, Warren E. Dennis of Amissville and Richard C. Dennis of Culpeper; 21 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Boston, Friday, October 10 with the Rev. Floyd Binns and Rev. David Upshaw. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
