The Artists of the Blue Ridge fine arts exhibition opens this Saturday in Sperryville accompanied by all the festivity, food, and entertainment befitting the most spectacular autumn weekend in Rappahannock County.
The exhibition, tremendously successful last year, is expected to draw record attendance, while providing the region’s finest artists with exposure to crowds from the states bordering the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Continuous entertainment will be provided by several local traditional and gospel groups, the Fearless Airborne Conjury, a juggler, mime and magician troupe, and a children’s creative comer with arts and crafts instruction and experience.
There will be an Oktoberfest beer and food garden with appropriate refreshments and Sperryville merchants will have special displays for the expected crowds.
The main event, of course, is the art show, and more than 30 artists and craftsmen will be assembled in individual display areas on the grounds of Faith Mountain Company, the corporate sponsor of the event.
