unspoiled present state. RLEP has been told that some, local realtors have recently been receiving phone calls from agents of unknown and undivulged interests, inquiring about land prices and acquisition possibilities.
For many years Mr. Wilson has been a successful large-scale developer in the D. C. area, but he also believes that some areas should stay in a pristine state, according to RLEP. He will offer advice about strategies which can be employed to “Keep Rappahannock, Rappahannock,” the RLEP newsletter reported.
A second, as yet unidentified, speaker will address a topic currently making headlines in Rappahannock: the problems of community landfills, including the recently recognized problem of widespread groundwater- contamination caused by these sites, according to RLEP member David Chuse.
