forty students trom waKeneid School’s 2nd and 3rd grades travelled last Friday to James Madison University where they viewed a special presentation at the Planetarium on the planets and constellations. The young spectators were able to see in about one hour motions which can be seen in the heavens only by years or even centuries of watching. According to the JMU Planetarium director, the offering for younger children is intended to inspire curiosity about the skies and to transmit some factual descriptive date. For older students, the program offers an explanation of the planetary phenomena.
