wnen questioned aDOUi wnai they had learned from their visit to the Planetarium, several of the students replied that they were surprised to learn that the celestial motions of planets take place in ellipses rather than in circles. Others reported that the visit to the Planetarium improved their understanding of a solar eclipse.
On their way back to school from Harrisonburg, the students and their teachers stopped at the New Market Battlefield for a guided tour which included both the field of battle and the exhibits in the Visitors’ Center.
