The movie Kiss of the Spider Woman will be playing at the Gay i Street Theatre on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 21 and 22, at 7:30 each evening. The movie stars William Hurt (who won the Academy Award for this performance), Raul Julia and Sonia Braga. In a prison cell somewhere in Latin America, two very different men find their lives ; linked — Molina (William Hurt), an effeminate homosexual, apolitical, incurably and irresponsibly romantic, and Valentin (Raul Julia), a political activist, macho, puritanical, homophobic. Out of these unlikely ingredients, Hector Babenco fashions one of the most moving and resonant love stories in recent film histpry. The movie is rated R. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children.
