I was disappointed to read the response of the Board of Supervisors in tabling this request. We do not need to turn our backs on such a reasonable and clear request made by our mental health professionals. I strongly urge the Board of Supervisors to place this request back on the table at its Dec. 7 meeting and reconsider the resolution request made by Ms. Gorman.
Most importantly, I encourage each of the citizens of our community to support this resolution and support the mental health professionals and the very important service they provide to us. If each citizen communicates this support to the Board of Supervisors individually and at the Dec. 7 meeting, then I am sure it will make a very significant difference.
