Hospice of the Rapidan invites families who have used hospice services, volunteers and any bereaved persons to attend an ecumenical memorial service. The first annual memorial service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 22, 3 p.m., at the Madison Methodist Church. Rev. Thomas Maddrey will conduct a brief service with hospice volunteers assisting and family members lighting candles in honor of their loved ones. “The holiday season is a difficult tiipe for people who have had a familtemember die. It may be the first hq|iday spent alone,” said Tina ikney Weaver, executive director Hospice. “The volunteers and that the shared memories will ig comfort as the holidays ap:h.” Hospice of the Rapidan ides free services for terminally :ople and their families. Grief,” a support group will meet for eight continuous beginning in January, 1988. [Working Through Grief will be to Hospice families as well as grieving person who needs to and to be supported. Hospice of the Rapidan will receive one-third of its funding from United Way of Culpeper for 1988. Other funding is obtained from local contributions and memorial donations.
