The Fauquier Hospital Auxiliary is busily preparing for the 1987 Lights for Life, a celebration of the 29th anniversary of the Fauquier Hospital. A tree lighting ceremony ,<will be held Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. on the .hospital grounds with a reception ^following the ceremony. The adult • and children’s choirs of St. James Episcopal Church will sing . Christmas carols and hymns.
The spruce trees on Hospital Hill •will be lighted at that time and at -.dusk every evening throughout the holiday season. Each light has a sper;cial meaning. The lights are representative of donations which are ^ rnade to honor someone special, such as a friend, family member, doctor, jChild or as a memorial to a friend or •f loved one.
The donations are used to fund the Lifeline Program and other projects sponsored by the Fauquier Hospital Auxiliary. Lifeline is an extremely valuable program because it gives many individuals in the community the gift of independence.
