“Deck the halls with boughs of holly” is exactly what Jeanne Berta is doing at the Child Care and Learning Center in Washington. Mrs. Berta is chairman for the second annual CCLC Christmas bazaar, to be held Saturday, Dec. 5, (10 a.m.-4 p.m.) and Sunday, Dec. 6, (15 p.m.) in conjunction with Washington’s Colonial Christmas celebration.
Santa will visit the center from 10 a.m.-l p.m. on Saturday. Franklin Photography will help Santa by taking pictures of Santa and the children who try out his knee. These pictures may be purchased for $5.
Lunch will be served on Saturday from noon - 2 p.m. Homemade chdi, hot dogs (with choice of onions, shredded cheese or chili as toppings), cider, coffee and baked goods will tempt Santa’s taste buds.
A puppet show will highlight Sunday’s activities. Puppeteer Maggie Rogers will make her puppet friends come alive for her audience with an original Christmas play from 2-2:30 p.m.
Both days will provide the family with lots of happy experiences. Local artists and crafters will "display their works for sale. There will be a special table with donations from area merchants. Handmade paper greeting cards, wreaths, baskets, and pottery are only a few of the
