Maggie Atkins
Maggie May Atkins, 91, of Orange, formerly of Washington, died Jan. 21 at the University of Virginia Hospital.
A native of Sperryville, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Emma Fry.
Her husband Ashby Grover Atkins predeceased her. She is survived by three sons, Julian Atkins of Union Beach, N.J., Eugene Atkins of Valdosta, Ga., and Fred Atkins of Washington, two daughters, Emily Price of Union Beach and Jane Estes of Whittier, Calif., 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was conducted Jan. 24 in the Sperryville cemetery by the Rev. Kirby Shenk.
Pallbearers were Larry Atkins, Tim Atkins, Ray Atkins, Junior Atkins, Jay Atkins and Kevin Price.
Annie Clatterbuck
Annie Virginia Clatterbuck, 70, of Castleton, died Jan. 20, at the Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
A native of Rappahannock County, she was a daughter of the late Henry T. and Lily Cloud Whorton. She was a member of Massanova Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by her husband Rev. Archie Edward Clatterbuck, three daughters, Ruth Ann Hernandez of Culpeper, Dorothy Virginia Foster and Betty Lou Hernandez of Castleton, eight grandchildren, Kay Foster of Chester Gap, Violet Wood of Manassas, Lori Peregory of„Rixeyville, Elvis Foster, Martha Hernandez and Pepe Hernandez of Castleton, Tone Hernandez and Angel Hernandez of Culpeper, and a great-grandson John Wood Jr. of Manassas.
