They plan to renovate the former church and establish a craft center in the building. Tentatively, the business will be known as “The Churchmouse,” Mr. Tweel said.

“We know that it will be sad for old church members to See the building sold,” Mrs. Tweel said, “but we hope to return it to use for the community and save it frcun further decay.”

Mr. Tweel added that “we didn’t ask the church to sell it. . . Several people submitted bids, and ours just happened to be the highest. And I believe that what we intend to do with the building will probably be of most benefit to the town, and a proper and benefitting use of the building.”
