Maurice Herndon, who will be the host for several guests at his eyrie above Sperryville, requests that anyone with a four-wheel drive vehicle contact him (987-8224) in case he is unable to get his guests out. Mr. Herndon added that his short-wave radio is already tuned to Radio Moscow.
In communicating with the Soviet visitors, foreign language specialists recommend that slowing one’s speech is far more effective in assisting those who are unfamiliar with the language than raising the voice.
Remember, if you see someone wearing a fur hat, wave!
