The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control announced that it distributed more than $18 million in profits among the state’s localities during fiscal year 1986-87, and an additional $6.4 million in per liter wine taxes.
ABC profits, which are distributed on a per capita basis, are used by local governments to provide a variety of services to their residents.
