Private dinners are being planned on Friday, followed by a Glasnost at the Trinity Episcopal Church Parish Hall in Washington, beginning at 8:30 p.m. Dr. Denise Horton will serve as moderator, and the organizers request that questions be sub-mitted to her in writing on arrival. The Russians will be briefed on the format of the forum at the Middle Street Gallery at 8 p.m.
Due to fire regulations, seating for the forum will be limited to 100 people on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Saturday is planned as a free day, with hosts urged to organize day trips to places of interest for their guests. Two private dinners will be held Saturday evening for six Russians each.
On Sunday, the morning is free for hosts and guests to attend church if they desire. The Quakers have invited the visitors to attend the Friends’ meeting.
Lunch will be served for guests and hosts at Sid and Margaret Gottlieb's Blackwater Homestead, with swimming after.
The rest of the afternoon and evening are free, with dinner at the hosts' discretion. For the Soviet visitors, the spectacle of the Super Bowl, especially with the Washington Redskins playing, should provide a glimpse of American sports culture.
