Other survivors include four brothers, Roy Whorton of Viewtown, Irvin Whorton of Front Royal, Baylus Whorton of Centreville and George Whorton of Castleton, and three sisters, Mary E. Dosdon of Front Royal, Ressie Utz of Falling Waters, W. Va., and Eunice Whorton of Castleton.
A funeral service was conducted Jan. 25 at Massanova Pentecostal Church by the Rev. Lindsay Savage and the Rev. Ken McGlothlin. Interment followed ip Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers were Levi Alther, David Alther, James Gibson, Marty Whorton, Gary Whorton and John Leake.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Massanova Pentecostal Church.

Grated rind and juice of 1 lemon
5 drops yellow food coloring
Combine butter and 2 cups sugar, beating well. Add remaining sugar, whipping cream, lemon rind and juice, and food coloring; beat until smooth. Yield: frosting for one 13x9-inch cake.
