REPEAT SHOWINGS

;0nce you have listed your home for 'pale, you can expect a flurry of showings. All agent-assisted showings should be by appointment, but it is better if you can arrange to be out ■ while the property is being shown. If not, try to stay in one room and do not follow the agent, pointing out selling points as you go. This makes everyone uncomfortable.

If an agent schedules a REPEAT showing to a very interested party, it is even more imperative that you leave the property. Repeat showings usually precede an offer, but they are long. The buyers often tour round and round the house several times, reentering rooms and imagining the placement of their fumiture. They’re apt to measure windows, climb into attics, test plumbing, and poke into the comers of closets.

All of this is discomforting to a teller. Go out, even if you watch from behind a neighbor’s curtains! Don’t worry about not being there to answer questions. If there are any, the agent will cal I you. i
