Some time ago, I Went out on a limb in a letter to this paper, writing about an ancient Chinese prophecy I had interpreted which gives a yearby-vear account of newsworthy events up through the coming nuclear war (1991-92) and into the setting up of God’s Government, a planetary representative government of all nations built on the United States model (1993-94).
1 told about a cometary event to take place during 1987. The prophecy said, “Suddenly a comet! Bodes ill for the Northeast.”
Now, I assumed something catastrophic since there are an average of eight new comets discovered every year . . . plus old ones returning. But I suppose that if something which looked like a comet suddenly appeared over Rappahannock County, few would argue that the prophecy was not fulfilled. Well, such an event was reported in the news as having been observed in China!
And as to trouble in the Northeast (which I felt was in the New York-Philadelphia-Washington, D.C., area) “Black Monday” took care of that ... the stock market meltdown has upset the entire world's economy, and is perhaps the most newsworthy event in a great number of years.
