“People aren’t willing to do the job right. It’s just laziness," Mr. McCarthy said.
And the laziness is expensive. Traditionally, the county has needed about five hours every month from the trash contractor’s heavy equipment operator to clean up around the dumpsters. “Now, it’s almost double that. At $fiO an hour for the equipment and the operator, it’s just going to cost citizens on their tax bills,” Mr. McCarthy said.
