Cooper returns

to home base

'Marine Lance Cpl. Kenneth W. Cooper, son of Truman H. and Helen M. . Cooper of Route 2, Amissville, recently returned to Morehead City, N. C., from a six-month deployment to the Mediterranean with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit based at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Consisting of more than 1,900 Marines and sailors, the unit was one of the largest air combat elements ever to deploy to the Mediterranean during peacetime.
