Crash kills

motorcyclist

A 30-year-old Bethesda man died Sunday afternoon after the motorcycle he was riding crashed on Rt. 211 west of Sperryville.

According to State Trooper C. A. Moore, who investigated the accident, Jose A. Lopez Guerra was riding with several friends on Rt. 211 about two miles east of Thornton Gap. The other motorcyclists told the trooper that Mr. Lopez Guerra was riding in the left lane. He took a right hand turn, apparently lost control of the motorcycle and laid the bike on its side. The motorcycle slid across the eastbound lane and into a guardrail on the other side of the road.
