Willie Edmonds
Willie Henry Edmonds Jr., 56, of Culpeper, died Oct. 28 at V.A. Hospital, Washington, D.C.
Mr. Edmonds was a native of Fauquier County and had lived in Culpeper. He was a retired painter and a veteran of World War II serving in the Army.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Edmonds, Culpeper; four daughters, Lynda White, Spotsylvania, Susie Edmonds Potts and Tammy Cox, both Reidsville, N.C. and Angela Jean Wade, Roanoke; three sons, Michael Byrd and Willie H. Edmonds III, both of Roanoke and Kenneth Edmonds, Salem; five step-daughters, Peggy Pack, Dale City, Margaret Brooks, Culpeper, Donna Hatcher, Bealeton, Loretta Kilby and Jackie Pack, both of Manassas; two step-sons, John L. Pack, Culpeper and James S. Pack, Manassas; five sisters, Mae Kowalczyk, West Palm Beach, Fla., Jean Weathers, Garrisonville, Ruth Gibson, Ringgold, Glenda Delp and Nancy Maine, both of Falmouth; one brother, Otis Edmonds, Goodview; his mother. May L. Edmonds, Falmouth; and 18 grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at the Culpeper National Cemetery with full military honors on Oct. 31, with the Rev. Charles Clinedinst officiating.
Clore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
