Lord Fairfax Community Col• lege Educational Foundation announced that Cheryl Vann, of Winchester, has been selected to receive the Ranee Lee Spellman Me, morial Award for 1988-89.
The memorial fund to honor the late farm foreman of Points of View Farm in Flint Hill who died on Nov. • 9, 1982 was established by Mr. . Spellman’s employer and farm . owner, Patricia Saltonstall to en, courage the development and recog; nition of farming skills and support services.
Miss Vann, a 1988 graduate of James Wood High School, plans to complete the Agriculture/Business Management program at LFCC with a. specialization in Horticulture. While at James Wood, she was an active member of the FFA organization, participating in the Nationwide Washington Leadership Conference, Nursery Landscape contest, Forestry and Soil Judging contest. Miss Vann also attended the State FFA Leadership Camp.
