“Short and sweet."
That’s how supporters termed last Wednesday night’s public hearing on a proposal to finance the latest in educational technology for Rappahannock’s public schools.
It was certainly short; in fact, proponents were still coming through the high school doors after the Board of Supervisors closed the 15-minute , public hearing,, unani- * mously approved the bond package and retired to executive session on personnel matters.
And it was certainly sweet. With the 4-0 vote (Jackson District representative Elllis Bingham was absent), the high school will get a satellite dish, down link, recording equipment and monitors for an electronic classroom which will enable students to take advanced classes impossible or impractical to offer at a small school where enrollment in such course offerings would be limited.
