1/2 cup butter or margarine 1 cup sugar legg 1 cup flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 2 apples, peeled and chopped 1/2 cup chopped nuts 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. cloves Preheat over 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar and beat in egg. Combine flour, baking powder and salt and gradually add to butter and sugar mixture. Gently stir in apples and nuts, and spread in buttered 8x8-inch pan. Bake 35 minutes.
