chapter has met only 88 percent of its goal. In this fiscal year only once has a Bloodmobile, in Marshall in August, met or exceeded the goal. The goal for the Bloodmobile next week is 75 units (pints). , 1
Mrs. Waldeck pointed out the im^ portance of a large turnout for this Bloodmobile. “We are approaching the holiday season when many people get too busy or distracted to think of donating blood. In addition, during the cold weather months more would-be donors must be deferred because of colds or flu,” she explained.
With the population of the area increasing, said Mr. Borjes, there ought to be a greater pool of donors and he hopes for some first-time donors at the Methodist Church next week. There were only two firsttime donors at the previous Bloodmobile at the church in September. A donor may be anyone 17 years or older who is in general good health, and who has not given blood in the past two months.
