Accident

Continued from page 1

Trooper Moore said that Mr. Lopez Guerra also slid across the road and struck the front bumper of an eastbound 1979 Dodge 4-door driven by Robert G. Seme rad, 61, of Fairfax.

Trooper Moore said that excessive speed was the apparent cause of Mr. Lopez Guerra’s loss of control of the motorcycle as he rounded the comer.

Fire and rescue personnel from Sperryville and Amissville responded to the accident. A Medflight med-evec helicopter from Washington Hospital Center was requested to meet Amissville's Advanced Life Support Unit at Fauquier Hospital, but Mr. Lopez Guerra died at the hospital before he could be airlifted. The cause of death was massive trauma as a result of the accident.
