Known as Culpeper’s little egg girl, she lived on a chicken farm where they raised 4,000 chickens. At age 10 or 11 she helped her father* sell eggs in Alexandria, about (50 miles' away. She never missed a Satj urday helping her father on the egg route through the 11th grade. She said handling money and keeping a book of credit when the customers were unable to pay were excellent skills to learn.
Beverly appreciates the support of her family, all of whom still live in Culpeper. They include her mother; Mrs. Edwin (Evelyn) Rodda; Parrel Payne; Mrs. Alvin (June) Breeden; Mrs. William 0. (Juanita) Partlow; Henry A. Payne; Norman Payne; Mrs. David (Sue) Snyder; and Mrs. I Leonard (Linda) Lieb.
Beverly will also be appearing at' Warrenton’s Taylor Junior High at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13. The school is located at 350 E. Shirley Ave. (Route 29). This event is also free.
