The Winchester Kiwanis Club will hold a 10K road race on Nov. 12. This race is held each spring and fall in conjunction with their major fundraiser — pancake day. Net proceeds from the race will be contributed to projects which will benefit the local community.
The race route is out and back through park, city and county roads over slightly hilly terrain. Splits and aid stations are provided.
An awards ceremony will follow shortly after the completion of the race. Plaques will be presented to top finishers in each age division, and all 10K runners will receive one free pancake dinner ticket and a race T-shirt.
Registration on race day will be from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the Kiwanis shelter located east of the War Memorial Building in the City Park in Winchester.
The indoor pool and showers will be available after the race. Note the new race time will be 9 a.m.
