Business Council to meet
The Sperryville Business Council will meet on Monday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sperryville Antique Market. All members are urged to attend. Plans for the upcoming Blue Ridge Country Christmas will be discussed.
F. T. Valley Church auction
The F. T. Valley Baptist Church in Slate Mills will hold an auction to benefit its building fund on Saturday, Nov. 5 beginning at 10 a.m. Items are needed for the auction; anyone with donations is asked to call Everett Yowell (923-4414) or Walter B. Kilby (825-5381) to arrange a pickup.
Exercise star to visit area
Beverly of the nationally syndicated television show "Beverly Exercise” seen on WTKK TV-66 at 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. weekdays will be at Taylor Jr. High School in Warrenton on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. and at Culpeper High School on Monday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. She will be sharing her personal testimony and speaking on health and nutrition. Gallery opening Nov. 6
The public is invited to the opening of Middle Street Gallery’s “November Show” - a celebration of the Gallery’s seventh year, on Nov. 6 from 3-6 p.m. Member artists will be showing new work, including Drevas, Moore, Mahan, Marshall, Slack, McCue, Lewis, Kerig, Nicholas and Atherton. The show will run through the month of November. Gallery hours are Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and by appointment. Currently on view through Nov. 7 is the one-person show of paintings and drawings by Eva Wine entitled “Tracks.” Ms. Wine explores the theme of footprints left behind in the snow, evoking the presence of someone who has been there but is there no longer.
