The Amissvilie Volunteer Fire Department will be holding its semi-annual auction on Saturday, Nov. 5, beginning at (i p.m. at the fire hall on Rt. 211. There will be a wide variety of household, lawn and garden, automotive and other items available for sale. Donations of items are also still being accepted. Flexercise is back

A six-week series of flexercise classes will begin Monday, Nov. 7. Classes will be held at Rappahannock Elementary School Mondays and Wednesdays at 6 p.m. Class foe is $25 for the six-weeks or $20 for once a week. Call Rose Ann Sharp, 075-3837 for more information.

Literacy Volunteers to meet

The monthly Rappahannock Literacy Volunteers meeting will be held Friday, November 4 at 9:30 a m. in the Trinity Episcopal parish hall. The Monday evening GE1) meetings are held each week at 7 p.m. in the Rappahannock Library.

Post 1150 to meet

The Rappahannock County Post 1150 will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the VFW in Sperry ville.

Dance at Amissville

The band Nightfall will play for a dance sponsored by the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Proper dress is required and persons attending must be 21 years of age. For reservations or additional information call 9374357.

'How the Art World Works'

The RAAC Artist’s Forum is presenting a panel discussion on the inner workings of the art world on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Blackwater Homestead. Panelists will be two museum curators and three gallery directors. They’ll discuss the policies, experiences, finances and politics behind what gets exhibited and what gets bought and sold.
