The community was saddened at the death of Mr. Thornton Semones on Thursday, June 15. Our prayers for strength and encouragement are with his family. He will be greatly missed.
I appreciate the invitation to attend the United Methodist Women’s annual luncheon meeting at Graves Mountain lodge in Syria on Wednesday, June 14. It was my first visit there and thoroughly enjoyed the scenic views and delicious meal. Most of all I enjoyed the fellowship of this fine group of ladies.
