With the season for spring home repairs and outside recreation now here, please heed a word of caution from Potomac Edison. It could save your life.
Two of the most common tragedies involving electrical lines come from the use of ladders around the home and flying kites or model airplanes. Be sure to keep ladders clear of overhead wires. And never allow children to fly kites or airplanes near utility poles.
If you ever discover a downed wire, DO NOT GO NEAR IT. Notify the police and Potomac Edison immediately and do your best to keep others away until authorities arrive.
