SUB-TRANSMISSION LINES
The Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County will hold a public informational hearing on Monday, July 3, 1989, at 7:00 p.m., at the Courthouse in Washington, VA. The purpose of this hearing is to review the proposed “rebuild” of the Potomac Edison Subtransmission line from the Sperryville substation to Flint Hill Substation and then to Front Royal substation.
The rebuild will include replacement of all existing wooden poles with wooden poles of from 10-15 feet greater height; also an additional “shield” wire will be placed across the top of the system. No additional poles will be installed nor will there be any additional voltage transmission capactiy.
Representatives of Potomac Edison have been invited to be on hand to answer any questions.
