On Saturday night, June 17, I attended the 30th anniversary celebration of Osborne Manassas High School’s Class of 1959. One classmate, Joel Grizzle, is married to Landra Dennis who lived here in Amissville. Also, it was great to see my cousin Charlie Sanders who now lives in Ormond Beach, Fla. Other classmates traveled from Chicago and Columbia, SC to attend the celebration. It was great to see coachprincipal Mr. James Leo.

Lisa and Curtis Stuart have returned from vacationing in Florida.

Congratulations to twins Crystal and Karen Manuel who shared top honors in the Office Services Class at the Piedmont Technical Education Center’s ninth annual Certificate Ceremony. They were also on the A/B Honor Roll. They are the daughters of Barbara and Elmer Manuel.

Congratulations to Cynthia Jean Dodson and Kenneth Brian McGhee who were wed on Saturday, July 17. She is the daughter of Jean and Billy Dodson of Sperrvville. He is the son of Millie and Frank McGhee of Amissville; the lovely garden wedding took place at the home of the groom’s parents. We wish them God’s blessings and a long and happy marriage. They will make their home in nearby Ben Venue.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Arlene Brown who is ill.

Have a great week and call me with your news at 937-5024. See you at the carnival!
