Heffern, soloist, of Reva sang “Cantide of the Bride”, and Ms. Heffern and Ho.lly Pendleton of Sperryville sang “The Lord’s Prayer”.
Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Mt. Lebanon Church fellowship hall. Punch was served by the bride’s aunt, Nellie Jew'ell, of Madison, assisted by Pat Southard, the bride’s cousin, of Amissville. Serving the tiered wedding cake was Louise Pullen of Norfolk aunt of the bride.
A rehearsal dinner was held in the couple’s honor on April 21, 1989, at John’s Family Restaurant, Culpeper. The dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents.
The bride was honored on March 12, with a bridal shower given by the ladies of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, and with an office luncheon given by her co-workers in early April.
The bride is a graduate of Rappahannock County High School and of Germanna Community College. She is employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Rappahannock County High School and is employed by Truland Corporation as an electrician.
After a wedding trip to Virginia Beach, the couple is residing in Manassas.
