A Washington man faces multiple charges after a high speed chase in Sperryville on July 18 caused a Virginia State Trooper to wreck his cruiser.
Trooper Sean Michael Knick, 23, of Flint Hill, was not hurt when his patrol car skidded off the right side of Route 211 and into a tree.
According to State Police 1st Sgt. D.S. Adams, who investigated the accident, Trooper Knick had received a complaint and attempted to stop a Honda motorcycle for a traffic violation. The rider refused to stop and headed west on U.S. 211 from the Sperryville Exxon station at high speed.
