To the editor:
Where has the respect gone for Amissville’s older Fire Department and Auxilliary Members? I would like to know where Cathy Smith, The Rappahannock News Correspondent, for Amissville got her information about this being the first year for the. Little Prince contest at Amissville’s carnival! I know you are new to this community and to the Fire Department, but if you are going to put things in the paper please get all your facts straight.
Also if some of these so-called firefighters and new auxiliary members were respectable they would have told you this was not the first time for this contest.
I cannot believe or understand why the older firemen and auxiliary members who built and worked so hard for years and years to get the Amissville Fire Department off the ground are not respected and recognized.
