Created by Cal and Ruby Black of California, the doll is now in the collection of John Dobricky. On Friday, July 28, the gallery and RAAC will co-sponsor the Virginia Museum’s film “Possom Trot: The Life and Times of Calvin Black” at the Gay St. Theater. Following the movie Mr. Dobricky will speak at the gallery about his collection of folk art. The movie begins at 8 p.m., and a $2 donation is requested.
