Trooper Knick pursued the motorcycle to the intersection of Main St., Route 1001. The motorcycle turned left to evade Trooper Knick, Sgt. Adams said, and the trooper applied his brakes to avoid hitting the sharply braking motorcycle. His car skidded off the right side of U.S. 211 and into a tree.
