preach at Woodville
Revival services at Woodville Baptist Church will begin with the 11 a.m. service on Sunday, July 30.
Rev. J. Howard Cates, retired pastor from Fredericksburg, will be the guest evangelist. Rev. Cates was pastor it the Fredericksburg Baptist Church for 21 years prior to his retirement. He also served as Interim Pastor at the Culpeper Baptist Church prior to the coming of Dr. Herbert 0. Browning to that pastorate. He is well-known and muchloved in this area. Rev. Cates is also an accomplished musician and will usually use a song to illustrate some particular point in his sermon.
There will be special music at each service. Sunday morning Ted Tedeschi will bring several violin selection; Sunday night Sam Lanham will sing; Monday night will feature Mary Clarke and Myrtle Falls as a duet; Tuesday night the choir from Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community will bring the special music and Wednesday night Virginia “Bunny” Kinzer will be the guest soloist.
There will be challenging preach^ ing and inspirational music and good fellowship at each service. The public is cordially invited. Rev. L. Starke Jones is pastor.
