I don’t think the last two years had the best parade or carnival 'as was reported. The parades were when there were so many majorette groups that Mr. Conard’s field wouldn’t hold them and when it took 2-3 hours to judge them later on the carnival ground. The carnivals were when everyone worked together apd had respect for one another; when every inch of land around the firehouse and carnival ground had a oar parked on it; and the firemen rjot only made money, they were able'tb give away a new automobile. i
Amissville will never again hafve a carnival or parade like the older firemen and auxiliary had. Th<Jse great times are gone forever. r
