The group also learned about a project called “Adopt a Stream or River.” In this project a person signs up to take care of a section of water (in a river or stream) and they would take care of the water testing and keep a record of the test results.

A weekend of wonders
Earlier this year the 4-H clubs from various counties joined together for a hike up Old Rag Mountain one day and one night by the campfire. When I heard I could have gone but missed it I was disappointed, but excited to hear that a whole weekend of hiking was in the future of the 4-H clubs.
I signed up right away, ignoring the fact that I had never been hiking before in any way, shape or form. After numerous letters from Mr. Williams keeping me updated not only on what to expect from the hiking trip and what to bring, but also on the other 4-H activities, thfe ' big weekend came.
Now the hike itself got underway
