Bird study course
The first class session of the six weeks fall bird study course will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church from 9-10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31. Three class sessions will alternate with three field trips to local places of interest to bird students. Beginners and more advanced students are welcome. Hatha Yoga classes to begin
Hatha Yoga classes will begin Monday, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. The beginners’ class will be held at The Child Care and Learning Center in Washington. Classes will be held every Monday and will last one hour. Wear loose clothing and bring a blanket. The cost for the 8-week session is $45. Family reunion time again
The annual family reunion of the late Henry T. Wharton and Lillie M. Cloude will be held at the Rappahannock Recreation Park, Washington on Saturday, Sept. 9. “Come one, come all, bring a picnic lunch and join right in, everyone welcome, come and enjoy. This reunion is for family and friends,” said a reunion spokesperson.
Heart Association board to meet
The Board of the Rappahannock Unit of the American Heart Association will meet Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church. This will be its first meeting with the new Area Coordinator, Jane Lienesch of Charlottesville. All members are urged to attend.
Tennis clinic
