Just when Virginians were beginning to yawn with boredom from debate quibbling, the state gubernatorial candidates have begun battling over a key issue in Northern Virginia — transportation.
During a week-long spin through Northern Virginia, Democratic candidate Lt. Gov. L. Douglas Wilder stopped at Dulles to pull the cover off of his transportation plan., addressing specifics in Northern Virginia.
Like his GOP opponent, J. Marshall Coleman, Wilder supports diverting interstate traffic around the beltway through an eastern bypass.
