Lt. Gov. L. Douglas Wilder, Democratic gubernatorial candidate, was accused by the Republican Party of Virginia of intentionally omitting information required under the state’s ethic laws.
Recent news accounts revealed that Wilder failed to disclose ownership of 27 acres in Louisa County and list 2,500 shares of stock in Virginia Firt Savings Bank.
Also excluded from the report was residential rental property located on historic Church Hill in Richmond. The Church Hill property, which was transferred to a trust in 1986, was the subject of housing code citations and a grand jury investigation in 1985.
