Park offers

varied programs

Lake Anna State Park is located 30 miles south of Fredericksburg, 18 miles west of 195, and about 30 miles north of 164. Park facilities include a picnic area with grills, scenic hiking trails, a fishing pond, boat dock, and Visitor Center. Panning for gold, films, and childrens programs are offered from June through September.

A $2.50 per car parking fee is charged on both weekdays and weekends; a $4 charge for cars with boat and trailer. For more information call the park office at (703) 8545503.

The park will sponsor a Hunter Safety Education Course on Sept. 8 from 7 to 9 p.m., Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.. Lake Anna State Park Visitor Center. Pre-registration is
