"The member of the Planning Commission who voted it down didn’t want to be the judge of whether somebody was lying or not," Mr. McCarthy said.
"We are a quasi-judicial body,” Mr. Bird said. “It would not be inappropriate for us to decide that somebody was acting in good faith.”
Mr. Zindel made the- motion to postpone consideration of the application, and it passed unanimously.
